Jim Whilt in Whitefish

The following notice concerning former residents of Eureka, appeared in the Whitefish Pilot of last week:

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Whilt and Mrs. Whilt's sister, Miss Schmechel were in Whitefish Monday and were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Young. The party left Chicago April 1 and have been on the road since, traveling leisurely and stopping at places of interest along the way. They made a pre-season tour of Yellowstone park, stopped at points in Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming and Iowa. A large number of the people of this community are familiar with Mr. Whilt's poems, or have listened to him over the radio. He was doing radio work at Chicago, and also broadcasted over the Shenandoah station for Glacier park, and also for the May Seed Co. For two years Mr. Whilt was a guide at the "Hidden City" near Rapid City, S. Dak.. where hundreds of research workers meet from all parts of the world annually. After all his travels Mr. Whilt turns to the Flathead as the nearest to an ideal place for a permanent home. The party left Whitefish for Glacier Park.
