RICHMOND, September 10.

A telegram from Farmville, Va., to-night, reports a fight there this morning, between some soldiers of the 21st United States troops and the town negroes. The soldiers had beaten a colored man for refusing to sell them liquor last night, and this morning beat another, when the negroes rallied and a street fight ensued. The citizens closed their stores, and a company of soldiers were sent in from the camp, who restored order. One soldier was stabbed in the melee and about a dozen soldiers and blacks badly beaten.
