Full Text

We hear, via Philadelphia, that "his most christian majesty's packet, the commander being apprehensive that a war was not far distant, is taking guns on board, and equipping his vessel, as if hostilities had already commenced!" This packet sailed from hence on Friday last, and it is well known that her equipments were not very great, as she had not more men on board, than sufficient to navigate her, much less to fight a battle. Her equipments, it is presumed, were only designed to chastise pickeroons, which the reports of war might create, and which impudence might prompt to insult her.
