Charleston, South Carolina, June 9.

Capt. Beak arrived this Week from Turks Island, informs, that about 5 Weeks ago, the Privateer Ship Oliver Cromwell, John Nicholl, Commander, of New-York, was lost on the Caicos's: as was also about the same time a Ship from Philadelphia, wherein the Hon. Col. Beckford was Passenger: That almost every Thing except the Hull of the Oliver Cromwell was saved, and all the Crew; and a great Part of the Philadelphia Ship's Cargo. And that Adm. Coates's Squadron was at Sea, cruizing near Cape Francois.
