VELVA HAS LARGEST
RED CROSS BRANCH
IN M'HENRY COUNTY

Velva, N. D., Sept. 12. This city is noted for having the largest Red Cross branch in McHenry county. The chapter now has a membership of 208, which is divided as follows: Nine life members, paying $25; five sustaining members, paying $10; 17 contributing members, paying $5; five subscribing members, paying $2, and 167 annual members, paying $1. This gives a fund of $557, which has been remitted to the national headquarters and of which $130 will be returned as a working fund for the local branch.
