Full Text

Letter from Madrid, July 15.

The King has declar'd, that conformable to the last Answer he sent to the Court of Great-Britain, he still persists in his Resolution to repress the Abuses introduced in the Commerce of the Indies, by the English, or any other Nation whatever: His Majesty's Intention is likewise, that the Orders which his Guarda Costas shall receive for the future on that head, be punctually executed. This is so laconick, that it smells more of Stand-and-deliver-Men, than of People that intend to make Satisfaction.
