Full Text

Extract of a Letter from a Gentleman in France, to his Correspondent in London, dated October 5.

"Since my last, our Letters from Rochefort, of the 28th past, advise, that the English had then made no attempts of landing on the continent, nor is it now thought they will, as they have let slip the most favourable Opportunity they could have wished for: But the number of troops now assembled, make the peoples minds quite easy. It would appear here a Fatality attending your expeditions. People here blush for them."
