Seek Own Funds
County supervisors have advised the Washtenaw County Recreation Committee, desiring Lanham Act federal funds for recreation projects in the county that it would be best for each community in the county to seek its own appropriations rather than to work through the county board. The report was made to a special meeting Friday of the local representatives of the County Defense Recreation Committee at the Board of Commerce. Prof. J. H. McCulloch, Olin C. Eckley and D. M. Silkworth are local members of the county committee.
