UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA. (Tucson) March 19 The University of Arizona will play host to high school students of the state this spring when nearly 1,000 students will meet at the state institution for the annual university week program April 30 to May 2.
The general program is to include a state school administrators' conference, championship baseball games, inter-scholastic track and field meet, tennis tournament, educational contests, dramatic contest and speech arts contests.
Judges for the various activities have been chosen and there will be unprecedented competition in all departments, officials in charge predict. In addition to the university facilities the Arizona state museum will be open especially for the visiting students during the week.
At the present time officials in charge of the week are asking the various high school principals in the state to fill out entry blanks and send them to A. L. Slonaker, graduate manager of the university, before April 22.
Upon receipt of the entry blanks the university will send the principal a contestant's card for each entrant. These cards must be brought to the university and presented at the registrar's office the first day of the week. Meals at the university dining hall will be gratis to all contestants.
