Librarian To Study At Keio University

BERKELEY—Miyeko Takita of 1217 Delaware St., a librarian at Univ. of Calif., is now en route to Japan where she plans to study ancient Japanese literature for the next year under a Fulbright scholarship.

She will study at Keio Univ. in Tokyo.

Miss Takita recently left Seattle aboard the NYK liner, Hikawa Maru with other American Fulbright students, including Dr. Masato Tanabe of Los Angeles.

Miss Takita, a resident of San Francisco before the war, is a graduate of U C and received a master's degree from UCLA.

She spent two years in Germany as a librarian before returning to the U.C. post.

Dr Tanabe, also a former San Franciscan and U C graduate, will study at Tohoku Univ. in Sendai.
