Great County.—From the Young America we learn that the Gold Tunnel Co. in Nevada, took out last week $3,500 from thirty tons of quartz.

Dr. Trask discovered Cinnabar, the ore from which quicksilver is extracted, within three miles of the town of Nevada, the extent of the lead is not known.

In Nevada county there is a bed of the Chromate of Iron, larger than any described in the world. The article of chrome is extensively used in the arts, and will no doubt be found an article of commerce from this county on the completion of a rail road to this place.—Young America.
