Recreation
The top of this front page is being given over this week to sports. Ordinarily sports can't rate that position, but in the case of Kennewick and what has been and is being done for the community by its softball and related programs, it is not out of place to award it the banner line. Some hard-headed planning and some determined work are gradually developing a sports and general recreation program in Kennewick. It is a side of our life which has gone half done for too long. The city recreation committee deserves a hearty pat on the back for its efforts and its achievements thus far.
