Allocates $1500 For Ball Park

The sum of $1500 has been allocated by officials in charge of the public recreational program to assist in preparing the ball park at the former Submarine Base. $300 more has already been made available by the Development Authority for the same purpose.

The Baseball League will launch a drive shortly to raise additional funds for the construction of the park, which is expected to be in shape for the opening of the League in October. Clearing of the field is expected to be completed this week.
