PERSONAL JOURNALISM.
We rejoice that we do not have to publish a newspaper in Sandusky. We know of no spot in the great Buckeye State where personal journalism is so constant as there, and it has been so for the past fifteen years. The last number of the Journal, at hand, contains a reference to the Register as follows:
"The editorial writer for the blackmailer's register of Sandusky has fallen into a state of jabbering idiocy regarding the Journal. He is so gangrened in mind over the superior circulation, influence and prospects of this paper to his own that his language about it indicates nothing short of positive insanity."
The above is only the mild part of an editorial, that, like the stories in the New York Ledger, grows more intense as it goes on. We sincerely rejoice that we live in Canton, where rival newspapers shower each other with diluted doses of praise, and where hoggishness (in boiler plate, for instance), envy, and lying about circulation are unknown quantities to the composite editorial mind.
