The Evening Capital, Mr. Wm. M. Abbott of this city editor and proprietor, celebrated its 6th anniversary on last Monday. The Capital is a live journal, newsy and progressive. Mr. Abbott has made it a valuable adjunct to the business and society of Annapolis. He has exhibited an amount of pluck, tact and enterprise in the conduct of his little daily that cannot be too highly commended. He now reaps his reward in seeing his paper so popular in this city, that many of us would rather go without the third meal, than miss a visit from the Evening Capital. May our worthy Brother long dwell beneath the vine and fig tree that he has so well planted and tended and enjoy an ever increasing fruitage.—Maryland Republican.
