We hear from New York, That on Friday the 19th of last Month John Higgins, alias Blair, and John Anderson, were executed there: the former for altering and passing the Paper Currency of that Province, knowing it to be counterfeit; and the latter for Burglary. Higgins was born in Alexandria in Virginia, of reputable Parents, was about 30 Years old; and made no other Speech at the Gallows, than saying he was innocent of the Crime for which he suffered. Anderson was born in New York, was about 22 Years of Age, made no Speech at the Gallows, and died very unconcerned; he confessed his fate to be just, and that he had deserved it long before.
