Hornell's Postmaster, Disappears
With Her Aunt's Suitor.
Miss Eva Dennison, daughter of
Postmaster and Mrs. George Dennison
of Hornell, N. Y., returned home after
a romantic elopement with Emil Hottinger
of New York. A few months
ago Hottinger advertised for a bride,
and Miss Dennison's maiden aunt, it
is said, answered the advertisement.
Correspondence is alleged to have fol-
lowed and Hottinger had gone to Rex-
ville.
While there he fell in love with the
niece, aged 17 years, and the elope-
ment was the outcome. Postmaster
Dennison at once notified the New
York police and when the couple
alighted from the train at Jersey City
they were met by an officer. Hotting-
er is 27 years old.
Dennison
has now changed
her
mind about marrying Hottinger and
is glad to get back home. The elope-
ment took place on Wednesday.
