STORM AT CHARLESTON.—In addition to the rain storm and tornado, which visited the precincts of Charleston, on Friday last, there was a water spout which came from the direction of James's Island, and burst near one of the wharves, without doing injury. Captain Pennoyer, of the Wm. Gibbons, who witnessed the phenomenon, states that the spout was sixty to seventy yards in diameter; rose to a height of one hundred to one hundred and fifty feet, and left a wake three or four miles wide. The noise it made, he says, was similar to that of the near passage of a north-river steam-boat.
