Full Text

The reserve money chest. It was nearly all in gold.

"The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the money,"

said President W. H. McCormick tonight,

"make it impossible as well as unfair to the bank employes, to place suspicion on any one or two men. The combination to the chest had been in the hand of two men. A third man who was given the figures during the absence of one of these men had them in a sealed envelope, but had occasion to break the seal and open the chest during the summer. Then he placed the unsealed envelope in his own money chest, to which others had access."

F. Augustus Heinze was "eliminated" from the board of directors of the Utah National at the last annual meeting.
