At the meeting of the State Central Committee yesterday considerable business was done.
Several communications were received from parish committees relative to disputes on organization, which were referred to the special committee composed of Messrs. Packard, Pinchback, Dibble, Lowell and Ingraham, with power to settle all controversies.
A report from the committee relative to the settlement of the difficulties which had arisen in several parishes was received and approved.
The report of Judge Dibble, who was sent to Baton Rouge to convene the convention of the parish, was read and approved.
The committee was granted full power to reconvene and organize the convention in that parish.
The quota of representation in the State Convention, which is to meet the first Wednesday in August, was fixed at one delegate for every 500 Republican voters.
