Mrs. Betty McCormick, Home Service Department Chairman of the Juneau Chapter, American Red Cross today announced appointment to the Home Service Committee of Mrs. George Purington, Marvin Kristan and Hunt Gruening.
Mrs. McCormick stated that the Home Service program is among the most vital of Red Cross functions and that in the past month 80 local cases had been assisted through the efforts of the Home Service Committee.
The primary responsibility of Home Service is to assist servicemen and ex-servicemen and their dependents in meeting those needs which arise from the man's service in the armed forces.
