NEW OFFICERS INSTALLED

American Legion Auxiliary Unit Held Regular Meeting Wed. Evening

At the meeting of American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 167 held Wed. evening at the Odd Fellows Hall, newly elected officers were installed. Mrs. L. M. Spencer, past president of the Seventh District, served as installing officer.

The elective officers are: Ethel Smith, president; Mrs. R. S. Paffrath, first vice president; Mrs. R. M. Kaiser, second vice president; Mrs. Carl Solverson, treasurer; Mrs. L. M. Spencer, chaplain; Miss Mary Devlin, historian.

The appointive officers announced by new president are Mrs. Elmer Skoog, secretary; Mrs. D. O. Hahn, pianist; Mrs. Arne Wellin, assistant treasurer; Margaret Burns, sergeant at arms; Mrs. Glenn Ireland, chairman Unit Activities Committee; Mrs. Themar Norling, assistant chairman; Mrs. Elroy Peterson, Junior Activities chairman; Mrs. V. V. Nelson, Rehabilitation chairman; Mrs. S. O. Diffendorf, membership chairman; Mrs. L. M. Spencer, chairman community service; Mrs. Oscar Pearson, Poppy chairman; Mrs. Oscar Hedin, child welfare chairman; Mrs. A. E. Nordstrom, chairman lunch committee; Mrs. Clara Burns, chairman of house committee; Mrs. W. H. Chard Fidac chairman; Mrs. R. J. Hodapp, chairman of flower committee for Memorial Day; Mrs. Paul A. Anderson, graves registration; Mrs. H. A. Hengstler, publicity chairman; Martina Berg, finance officer.

Miss Marion Hanscom, the retiring president, was presented with a bouquet of roses, and with a handsome past president's pin, Mrs. Spencer making the presentations.
