A DEADLY FOE OF LANDLORDISM.
Dispatches From Emin Pasha Say he is Having Hot Work Again.

DUBLIN, Dec. 15.-Michael Davitt today issued an address to the electors of Waterford, in his contest for the seat in parliament, left vacant by the death of Richard Power. In his address Davitt pledges himself to endeavor to obtain the passage of a home-rule measure, which will satisfy the Irish people, and which will enable its representatives to form laws which will insure the fullest opportunities for the advancement of trade and labor interests in Ireland.
Davitt adds that he and his colleagues will be the deadly foes of landlordism, and they will strive to change the land laws so as to give the best protection and scope to agricultural interests. He also pledges himself and colleagues to co-operate with the representatives of the industrial democracy to further all legislation tending to secure the tilling class full protection of their rights and speedy amelioration of their grievances.
In conclusion, Davitt says that he will further any measure tending to curtailing to reasonable limits the hours of labor.
