Clara Hearne A Wins Senior Title in Second Half of Playground Baseball; Vance Street And Central in Tie for Junior League Crown

Clara Hearne A won the second half title in the senior league of the Playground Baseball competition and Vance Street and the Central baseballers tied for the second half in the junior league.

Clara Hearne A's annexing of the title in the second half of the senior league competition came as quite a surprise. The Rosemary nine had won the first half championship and was expected to win the second half pennant. Clara Hearne A grabbed two victories during the last week of competition, beating Rosemary 6 to 4 and Clara Hearne B 10 to 3. These two victories gave the Clara Hearne boys a record of seven victories and two defeats during the second half play.

In the junior league. Central surprised Vance Street's first half champions and handed them a 5 to 0 defeat and then went on to larrup the Rosemary baseballers 12 to 4, in their last two games to knot the second half championship.

As a result of a playoff with Clara Hearne, Central will play Vance Street for the city junior title.
