The School of Music at Montana State University at Missoula in the College of Fine Arts will present its annual Christmas Convocation on Friday, December 12.
The program will include traditional carols, the MSU Brass Ensemble, the University Choir, The Choral Union, the MSU Symphonette, and the Madrigal group.
The University Choir will perform two unusual carols in Spanish to the accompaniment of guitars played by Fred Brush of Billings and Henry Pennypacker of Missoula.
The Madrigal group, directed by Patricia Barendsen, instructor in voice, will sing Ralph Vaughan-Williams' "Fantasia on Christmas Carols". They will be assisted by the string ensemble.
Baritones Ronald Quilling, Sidney and Bruce Buckingham, Terry and Tenor Fred Mumbower, Missoula will be the soloists.
Ronald Gordon Quilling is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Quilling, 509 3rd, Sidney.
