He further informs, that the above account was brought to Lisbon by the Lieutenant of a Danish man of war, and that they were all in the Sound on the 20th of August.
On the 26th of September, two days after he left Lisbon, he fell in with 5 or 6 sail of Algerines, one of them a two deck ship, who fired several shot and brought him too; after detaining him for some time, two vessels hove in sight, which they took to be English frigates, when they suffered him to proceed on his voyage, having first taken away some of his compasses and instruments.
At the time he left them, he saw two zebecks bring a snow too, but does not know who he was.
