BALDWIN CHARGES
ARE DISMISSED

Little Rock, Ark.,
Aug. 23.—The
slander charge against Mrs. A. D.
Baldwin, was yesterday afternoon dis-
missed in the court of Justice E. H.
Sanders, on order of Assistant Prose-
cuting Attorney Tom Norfleet. The
charges were filed Saturday night by
A. D. Baldwin. The attorneys for the
plaintiff, asked that the case be dis-
missed, saying the statutes did not
mention the crime with which Mrs.
Baldwin had charged her husband,
and that the statutes also fail to per-
mit wife to slander her husband.
This puts the case back on the divorce
proceedings brought by Mrs. Baldwin
and which will come up for hearing
in the Chancery court.
