DOMESTIC.

Congress. Washington, June 18. In the Senate, the amendments to the Naval Appropriation bill were debated. The amendment placing steamers on the coast of Africa was rejected. In the House the bill for the purchase of the Chiriqui coal lands on the Isthmus of Panama, thus furnishing another transit route, was adopted. The Civil Appropriation Bill was considered.

June 19.--In the Senate, the Army Appropriation Bill was concurred in. The Senate receded from the amendment, appropriating $800,000 for the Texas Rangers. It has insisted on the amendment to the Civil and the Postal Deficiency bill, and has asked a Committee of Conference. The vote postponing the Tariff bill to next December, has been reconsidered. Lane, of Oregon, had moved to amend, by re-enacting the tariff of 1846. Latham, of California, moved to again postpone, and to take up the consideration of the Overland Mail bill. Which did not prevail. The Tariff bill was pending, when they adjourned. In the House, Mr. Davis of Maryland, reported a bill, authorizing a loan of $21,000,000 for the redemption of Treasury notes. The House agreed to the Committee of Conference, asked by the Senate. The Committee has reported the Civil, Legislative, Judicial and Executive Appropriation Bill. Concurred in the Army Bill. During the rest of the week the Appropriation Bills were under discussion. The President vetoed the Homestead Bill, and both Houses adjourned finally on Monday.
