CONDITION OF PRESIDENT HARRIMAN AGAIN ASSUMES A THREATENING ATTITUDE AND ALL NERVOUS.
Private Physician Says It Was Attack of Acute Indigestion, With Little Danger in Itself But With Grave Consequence If Not Remedied— Talk of Operation Revived, But Nothing to Base Rumor Upon.
Arden, N. Y., Sept. 7.—All alarming rumors regarding the condition of E. H. Harriman have been revived following the relapse of Sunday night. From the best information obtainable today it is believed that the attack which caused the hurry call for doctors and nurses was a temporary sickness caused by a change of temperature or indiscretion in diet.
Danger of Grave Consequences.
Dr. W. G. Lyle, private physician, calls the attack "acute indigestion," and while the attack in itself may not be serious, there is always danger of grave consequences in the case of a man in Harriman's weakened condition.
Attack Arrested.
It is announced that although the attack has been arrested, his temperature is still high and he is very weak. Talk of an operation has been revived, but there is nothing definite to support such a rumor.
Reporters Ordered Back.
The newspaper men withdrawn from Arden at Harriman's request, have been hastily recalled.
Feeling Better Today.
"I shall refer all inquiries to Dr. Lyle," said J. G. Lovett at the Union Pacific office this morning. "It is true

that Mr. Harriman had another attack of indigestion, but it is understood he is feeling much better this morning."
Odell Sees Harriman.
Ex-Governor Benjamin B. Odell visited the Harriman home today. He is an old personal friend of the financier and it is believed that he was summoned last night.
Odell told a passenger on the train that Harriman was a
"very sick man."
