Saturday, August 3, 1907.
Board of Trade.
The regular weekly meeting of the Board of Trade was held at the board rooms Tuesday evening with seven members of the board of directors present.
The secretary presented his weekly and monthly reports showing a total number of letters sent out for the month to be 272, number pieces literature sent out by mail 422, and 200 pieces by express, making a total of 894 pieces, including letters. The secretary's financial report showed the board to be in a good financial condition.
The committee appointed to make arrangements for the annual meeting of the board on the coming Tuesday evening, August 6th, made a report recommending that the meeting be held at Masonic hall on that date, at 8 p. m., and that light refreshments be served. At this meeting all members of the Board of Trade, and former members of the Board of Trade are invited and urged to be present, and each member is entitled to bring a friend who is not a member of the organization. This annual meeting will round out the first year's work of the Board of Trade, and a new board of directors will be chosen to conduct the affairs of the Board of Trade during the coming year.
At this meeting also the annual reports of the secretary and the various committees and officers will be given, and all members are urged to be present and to participate.
Mr. H. M. Chapman offered a resolution thanking the papers of the city for their very able and cordial cooperation in printing the proceedings of the board during the year, and the secretary was instructed to forward to them copies of the resolution.
The resolution was unanimously adopted.
After acting upon the expense account for the month the meeting adjourned.
