At Methodist
Fujinkai members from Portland, Tacoma, Spokane, Wapato, Hood River and Ontario will be participating in the annual Fujinkai conference this weekend in Seattle.
The various Nisei organizations of the local Methodist church are assisting in welcoming the delegates.
WSOSers will hold a tea for the delegates on Sunday afternoon; the Duzzers will have charge of the box lunches, and the MYFrs will help in the kitchen with the serving and dish washing.
Methodist Duzzers are having a "Kiddies' Night" at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday in the church basement.
Chairman George Kurata announces that such "kid games" as jump rope and kick the can will be played.
Assisting the chairman are Ray Hikida, Tsuguo Ikeda, Tats Kumasaka, Mary Kondo, Yone Kanda, Gracie Osawa, Amy Chikamura, John Ikeda and Jim Osawa.
This Sunday's activity for the MYFers will be a treasure hunt, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Group II, with Takiko Funamori, Sylvia Nomura, Carol Tada, Sylvia Fujiwara, Nob Onishi, Stan Yamashita, Ted Nakamura and Arlene Hayashi, will be in charge.
Nisei service at the Japanese Methodist church this Sunday will be conducted in the small chapel because of the Northwest Fujinkai conference.
