Full Text

William Rayner, a partner of A. F. Knight, of this village, in the shoemaking business, received a letter from England, a few days since, to the effect that his father was dead, and he, being the eldest son, is the heir to all his father's property which, we understand, is a snug little fortune. It consists chiefly of real estate, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, a city of about 30,000 population. He has been in America some ten years, supporting himself by working at his trade, and will undoubtedly know how now to appreciate his good luck. He started for home this morning.
