SEATTLE (U.P.) - Seattle's famed cod-fishing schooner, the four-masted Sophie Christenson has retired from the sea lanes to serve as a home for a Puget Sound family.

The craft, still holding the world's record codfish catch of 455,000 fish, set in 1933, has been offered for sale by the vessel's owner, Captain J. E. Shields. Shields has asked $3,500 for the craft. The ship is 100 feet long, with enough deck space for a back yard and plenty of room for living quarters.
