Enemy Ground Crews at Rabaul Machine-Gunned—Also Barracks
ALLIED HEADQUARTERS IN AUSTRALIA, April 24—Allied warplanes are continuing their almost daily attacks on Rabaul in New Britain, blasting shipping, barracks and warehouses on that Japanese invasion base again yesterday.
Ground forces on the small crescent-shaped island off the New Guinea coast where Jap forces are based in preparation for invasion of the "down-under" continent, were machine-gunned in yesterday's attacks.
