BELGRADE, August 8.

The 5th Inst. a Convoy of Provisions from Niss having passed within Cannon Shot of the Town, we fired so successfully upon it that it was put in Disorder. The same Day the young Count de Khevenhüller being on the Ramparts giving Orders, a Cannon Ball took off his Head. The Turks have just raised a new Battery, from which they have begun to batter St. Charles's Bastion near Wirtemberg Gate. The 6th Inst. in the Morning, we remarked that the Infidels were in Motion towards the Save, and the next Day we heard that a large Body of their Troops had been ordered to go and block up the Fort of Sabac.

On the 5th Inst., a convoy of provisions from Niss was fired upon and disordered. Same day, young Count de Khevenhüller was killed by a cannonball while on the ramparts. Turks raised a new battery to batter St. Charles's Bastion near Wirtemberg Gate. On the 6th Inst., Turks moved toward the Save, and the next day a large body was ordered to block Fort of Sabac.
