SPORTS OF THE WORLD BY MARION E. JACKSON
Bowling was almost continuously in the headlines the past weeks as women participants squared off in tournament play and verbal exchanges. The rhubarbs involving the gentle sex somewhat overshadowed a bit of newsmaking which saw Duke Foster, Jr., installed as acting manager of the Fun Bowl, as well as a general shift in personnel at the facility. Owners of the bowling lanes swept clean the slate of employees and now newcomers man the ten pins and things should be looking up, sports-wise.
