Leavenworth Troops to Leave August 1 for 700 Mile Trip.

Leavenworth Kan., July 6.—Company I, Third battalion of engineers, will leave Fort Leavenworth on August 1 for a practice march of about seven hundred miles through Missouri. The "hike" will consume nine weeks. Special work in reconnaissance will be done by this company which has become expert in map making. A military map from field sketches and photographs will be compiled after the journey. The itinerary includes Richmond, Keytesville, Glasgow, Jefferson City, Sedalia, Hughesville, Lexington, Pleasant Hill and Paola.
