THE GLORIOUS FOURTH.—Although our great national holiday is rapidly approaching, we have heard of no move being taken for the purpose of having a suitable celebration on the occasion. We are in favor of all holidays, but more especially are we in favor of the proper observance of this anniversary of the day when our forefathers placed their names to the Declaration of Independence, and pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to the resisting of tyranny and aggression; thereby securing to us the invaluable blessings of liberty. Let somebody show his patriotism by interesting himself in the matter.
