Extract of a Letter from Paris, Feb. 26. N.S.

"The Government continues to take all the necessary Measures for succeeding in the intended new Settlement on the Coast of Guinea : With this View they are equipping a great many French Vessels, destined to transport Artillery and Stores to that Country, and also some Hundreds of Men that have been engaged for founding of this new Colony. We hear from Rochelle, that several Ships have lately sailed from thence for our American Colonies, with Recruits for the Garrisons; and they reckon that upwards of six Hundred Officers, disbanded since the War, are gone to serve in the said Colonies."
