Full Text

The failure of many people to make reservations for seats at the business men's banquet last Wednesday evening caused a great deal of annoyance and confusion. The notices sent out called for the closing of reservations on Monday night and at that time 209 places had been reserved. The ladies were given a guarantee of that number and they ordered their food on that basis. It can readily be seen that in such an undertaking as the one of Wednesday evening it was impossible to wait until the last moment to order food. The association will give entertainments of the same kind in the future and it is hoped that the public will not wait until the last moment as many of them did this time. Fully 100 people asked for tickets the last day and all had to be denied. Some few succeeded in getting the tickets of those who changed their minds about attending.
