fight it out on that line.
The Texarkana Daily Times, with one foot in Texas and the other in Arkansas, pitches into the Paris News for its strictures upon Chairman Clark of the Democratic State committee, and legislates upon the prospects of democratic disintegration in Texas on account of prohibition contentions. The Times is a little previous. The disintegration is coming, but it is about four years in the future. When it does come it will be a godsend to Texas. Reduce her democratic majority to 10,000 and the two blades of grass would grow, over the entire state, where one now stands: railroads and manufactories would multiply like stars in the evening sky, or like a Thomas orchestra on a kitchen shed in the stilly night: immigrants from the north, northeast and northwest, would flood these prairies with a million more settlers, and the grain fields of the state would roll a shoreless sea. If the Paris News can reduce the democratic majority about 120 thousand it will confer a great boon on the state.
