Full Text

Extract of a Letter from Hanover, dated July 17.

We flatter our selves very much here, that the Emperor will consent to the Abolition of the Clause in the Fourth Article of the Treaty of Ryswick relating to Religion. It is even pretended, that his Imperial Majesty has already given Orders for redressing all the Grievances in Religion, conformable to the Stipulations in the Treaty of Westphalia, that Tranquility in that Respect may be re-establish'd again in the Empire. Baron de Bulow, Chamberlain to his Britannick Majesty, has been lately rais'd to the Dignity of a Count of the Holy Empire.
