The People The Court of Last Resort
NEW HAVEN, CONN., SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 1945
Tuesday, February 6, at 2 p.m.
One of the most important decisions in the history of organized labor in Connecticut will be made when the General Assembly votes on the State Labor Relations Act introduced by the Connecticut Federation of Labor. And the way the legislators vote on this will depend to a large extent upon the way in which labor and its friends rally to attend the public hearing, to be held in the Senate Chamber of the State Capitol on Tuesday, February 6, at 2 P.M.
This hearing is a "must" for every A.F.L. union in Connecticut. If every union in the state sends a delegation and registers for the State Labor Relations Act; if the friends of organized labor rally their forces, and attend in large numbers, and express their support, we will have a State Labor Relations Act on the statute books this year. Every union which is not represented by a delegation at the hearing weakens the chances of the passage of this act.
We should not only fill the Senate Chamber Tuesday afternoon; we should have an overflow crowd there. The more people who are unable to get into the Senate Chamber, the better. If organized labor uses its full strength Tuesday, we will win. It's up to you, and your local union!
