By what we learn by the Flanders Mail which arrived Yesterday, it does not appear, that the War with the Turks is like to go forward, since the Infidels are so closely beset on all Sides, and dispirited by the frequent Losses; that the Soldiers having no Courage to stay in the Army, steal away in great Numbers; and the Grand Seignior sacrificing his high Spirit to the Necessity of the Times, we hear, has agreed to the following Terms proposed to him by the Czarina.
1st. That all the Russian Slaves shall be delivered back. 2d. That the Fortress of Azoph shall for ever remain in the Hands of the Russians. And lastly, that the Russian Subjects shall enjoy a free Commerce on the Black Sea: This Compliance has induced her Czarian Majesty
His Majesty to send Instructions to Count Munich, not to come to a Battle with the Grand Vizier, 'till the Accommodation on the Carpet between her and the Porte be decided one Way or other.
