Driver of One Auto Under Bond on Charge of Driving While Drunk
Several persons received minor injuries last night about 8:30 o'clock when two automobiles collided on the Brevard-Hendersonville road near Etowah. James Ballard and Raymond Redden were given emergency treatment at the Patton Memorial hospital and discharged. Others injured were Mrs. Mandy Jones, and Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan and daughter, of Etowah. Mrs. Morgan and daughter were painfully injured and were confined to their home today. Mr. Morgan was driving toward Brevard and the other car, owned by Mrs. Jones, was driven by Redden. The sheriff's department said today that Redden was under $500 bond on charges of driving while drunk and assault, and Mrs. Jones and Ballard were under $300 bond on charges of being drunk. A hearing has been set for 10 a. m. Tuesday before Magistrate B. A. Cox.
