TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - (ANP)
Eleven students and the dean of instruction at Florida A & M College here last week were initiated into the newly formed Famcee chapter of Beta Kappa Chi honorary scientific society.
Raymond J. Pitts, regional vice president and professor of mathematics at Ft. Valley State college, was the principal speaker at ceremonies where the new members were introduced. They are:
Dr. M. C. Rhaney, dean of instruction and professor of biology at Famcee; C. Wendell Austin, Pensacola; Miss Alice Wright Douse, Lakeland; Miss Leona E. Green, Jacksonville; Frederick W. Hendon, Freeport, N.Y.; Murray J. Riggins, Bradenton.
Also Baxter Stretcher, West Palm Beach; Otto B. Smith, Jacksonville; Melvin and Roscoe Trillett, Tallahassee;
Freddie J. Worthern, Seville, Fla. and Miss Vivian S. Williams, Bradenton.
Julia M. Martin, instructor in chemistry and graduate member of the chapter is advising for the undergraduates. Graduate members, in addition to Miss Martin and Dean Rhaney include - Dr. Margaret S. Collins, Dr. J. Wesley Elliott, Carlton E. Fisher, Dr. George W. Gore, Jr., Norma J. Holloway. Mrs. LaVerne S. McCoy and C. Randolph Taylor.
