The teachers of the public schools held their first institute last Saturday evening at the office of Superintendent Kemble, which was well attended. The proceedings were of an informal character, as it was intended as a meeting to organize for the season's work. The superintendent gave numerous directions as to the conduct of the different schools, which it is thought will prove of general benefit.
