Two daring boatmen who set out January 4 on a hazardous trip up the Colorado river have arrived safely at Rainbow Natural bridge. according to word received here today by Mrs. John Wetherill. wife of one of the men.
A hastily scrawled message was brought across the desert to the Wetherill home here by an Indian runner whom Wetherill and Patrick Flattum of Los Angeles. his companion. had met when they reached the bridge
Mrs. Wetherill went to Flagstaff today to inform backers of the venture that the men were safe and planned to start on the return trip down river to Lees Ferry, their starting point at once.
