BILL WESTER NOW ENSIGN WITH SHIP

Ensign Bill Wester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al B. Wester, of Henderson, who received his commission in that classification in the navy at recent graduating exercises at the University of North Carolina, has received an assignment to an LSM ship at the Norfolk navy base, and is understood to be at sea now. He spent several weeks here with his parents before leaving for Norfolk to assume his duties in the new assignment. He has been stationed at the State University during the major portion of his training. He is to be on sea duty for about a year before being retired to inactive duty in the naval reserve.
