Full Text
Wonderful.—A worm was lately taken away from a young man in Roxbury, by Dr. Stewart, which was over 30 feet long! Its appearance was perfectly white, with joints beginning almost imperceptibly at the head, and increasing in size and length to its extremity—the longest being something more than an inch. The head runs to a point as fine as that of a lancet. Its body was flat, and about half an inch at the widest part. The young man, who is about 26 years of age, says that he feels confident this creature has been within him from infancy, and so great was the torture occasioned by it, that he thought death only could relieve him. Dr. Stewart invites the curious to call and see it at his house. He has it preserved in spirits. It is really a curious case.—Boston Sentinel.
